Youth Red Cross conducted “Motivation Program” on 26th March 2018 at Smart Class Room, SSIT Campus.
Youth Red Cross “Freshers Orientation Programme” were organized on 27th February 2018 for our first year students. Chief Guests are Prof. A. Kadar Basha, Hon. Advisor of Youth Red Cross, Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu Branch and Dr. B.Kumar, Prof., & Head Department of Printing technology, YRC Zonal Co-ordinator, Anna University, Chennai.
Youth Red Cross conducted “World Water Day”awareness rally on 22th March 2018 at Poonthandalam Village. YRC volunteers are activists carried placards stating ‘Save water for life.’ Also distributed tree plant for local people to grow.
The YRC unit of Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology, chennai, organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with Madras Voluntary Blood Bank of chennai, on 13th March 2017.
453 volunteers came forward to donate blood during the camp which included teaching & non-teaching staff and students donors. At the end 453 units of Blood was collected. The blood donors were given Frooti, banana, Biscuits after donating the blood in order to reenergize themselves. The blood donors were provided with a blood donation certificate card by college and respected blood bank too. The MVBB medical team was provided with lunch and the camp concluded at around 2.30 p.m.
